Annotator Agreement
The terms you accept when you sign up to work on LingoCore and be paid by us directly. If you are joining through an agency, this does not apply to you — your agency pays you and their own terms govern that.
1. Who this covers
This agreement applies to annotators who work through LingoCore and are paid by LingoCore into a LingoCore wallet. If you joined through an agency's invite link, your agency employs and pays you, your wallet is frozen, and questions about your pay go to them.
2. You are an independent contractor
Nothing here creates an employment relationship, partnership or agency between you and LingoCore. You choose which work you apply for and when you work. You are responsible for your own taxes and for any registration required where you live.
3. Identity verification
You must complete identity verification before your account becomes active, and the identity you verify must be your own. One person, one account. Accounts found to be duplicated, shared or misrepresented may be suspended and balances withheld pending review.
4. Work, quality and pay
You are paid per unit of work that passes QA. Rejected work is not paid. Approved earnings are credited to your wallet, held for a short clearance period, and then available to withdraw once your balance passes the stated minimum. You will not use automated tools to generate submissions unless a project explicitly allows it.
5. Confidentiality
Project data, guidelines and client identities are confidential. You will not copy, retain, publish or re-use project data outside the work, and you will not discuss it publicly, including on social media.
6. Suspension
We may suspend or close an account for fraud, plagiarism, sustained poor quality, or breach of these terms. Where work has already been approved and paid for, that payment stands.
7. Changes to this agreement
We may publish a new version. Your acceptance is recorded against the version shown at the top of this page, and a later revision does not change what you agreed to.
